Thursday John 1:6-9

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him.

He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light.

The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.

Father, we know that the light of Christ is for every man. Let us not glorify ourselves, but on the man the you sent to save us from our sin. We have all sinned and fallen short of your glory. Give us courage, we pray, to bear witness to the light of Jesus as the Holy Spirit leads us. Amen.
